Foreclosures CAN be good buys, but keep in mind, most times they are sold "as is" with no repairs done by the lenders. This requires that YOU do the repairs because sometimes the homes are unhabitable. Many foreclosures in the last few years have driven prices down, so even homes and condos being sold by the actual owner have come down in price. Those homes are often in much better condition, so my goal is to show you many different properties and find the one that's right for you!
WHAT ABOUT "SHORT SALES"
Short sales are "Pre-foreclosures" where the seller still owns the property but owes the bank more than it's worth. The bank must approve the sale, since they will be losing money. If you have a lot of patience, and are willing to wait at least eight weeks to three months for the bank's response, then by all means, try your luck. There are some good buys to be had.
